Challenges
No app to guide visitors through the show
Before this project, Swiss Automotive Show visitors had no dedicated mobile app. The program, exhibitor list, hall plans and news lived in different places. On site, the same questions kept coming up at the entrance and at the stands.
Finding useful information, immediately
At a busy trade fair, every minute counts. Visitors needed a simple way to quickly find a talk, an exhibitor, a booth or a news update, before and during the event, without paper maps or endless back-and-forth.
Our solutions
A native iOS and Android application
We designed and built the official Swiss Automotive Show app (Expo / React Native) for Derendinger: a smooth smartphone experience for automotive aftermarket professionals and for the wider public alike.
Program, exhibitors, floor plan and news in one place
The app brings together what visitors need on site: a filterable program (talks, demos, activities), an exhibitor directory with detail pages, an interactive hall plan to locate booths, and a news feed for show highlights.
Favorites, onboarding and push notifications
Onboarding personalizes the experience from the first launch. Favorites (exhibitors and events) help visitors plan their day. Push notifications deliver useful updates at the right time, without cluttering the journey.
Content managed in Neos, always up to date
Show data lives in Neos CMS and feeds the app through GraphQL. A back-office update is reflected in the mobile app: no double entry between website and mobile, and consistent information for organizers and visitors.
Store release and a lasting communication channel
The app is available on iOS and Android. It gives Derendinger an official mobile channel for the Swiss Automotive Show, with practical info, catering, ticketing and related content completing the on-site experience.
