Challenges
Being found when someone looks for a tiler near Bulle
Descloux Carrelage works in Gruyère and across French-speaking Switzerland: villas, condominiums, chalets, interior renovations and restaurant refits. For a craft firm, the website is often the first contact with a homeowner or an architect. The need was a clear online presence about tiling, stone and installation, that ranks for local searches.
Showcasing sites that are judged in photographs
Tiling is judged by eye and by touch. Wood-look floors, slate, large formats, walk-in showers, kitchens: without a readable gallery of references, the craft was hard to prove. Site photos had to stop being a technical burden and become an argument.
Structuring materials, sectors and references
The offer is broad: tiles, natural stone, mosaics, niches, new build, renovation, repairs. On the previous site, that volume was hard to organise. A simple structure was needed so each visitor could find the right material or type of job without getting lost.
Leaving a TYPO3 version that had grown too old
The TYPO3 setup in place no longer supported calm day-to-day management. Publishing a reference or a trade page depended too much on a supplier. The redesign had to introduce a modern, safer CMS and give the team autonomy.
Our solutions
A migration from TYPO3 to Neos CMS
We rebuilt the site on Neos, the CMS we use for craft and SME showcases. Useful content was reorganised into a clearer structure. The team can now publish and adjust pages without waiting for a technical intervention on every update.
A showcase shaped around the trade
Company, sectors, materials, references and contact: the journey follows the real work of Samuel Descloux and his team. The pages cover new build (villa, condominium, chalet), renovation with coordination of trades, repairs, and tile families from earthenware to terracotta.
Photo references that speak for themselves
The References page groups jobs by atmosphere and use: floors, bathrooms, kitchens, stairs, natural stone, mosaics. Photographs become the thread. A visitor compares, pictures the result, then gets in touch.
Simple contact and local SEO foundations
The form appears at useful moments, with the Maules office and Sâles depot details. Titles, copy and structure were designed for searches such as "tiler near Bulle", without unnecessary jargon.
The benefits
Clearer local visibility
The site states who Descloux is, where the firm works and what it installs. For a homeowner or architect looking for a tiler in Gruyère, the offer and completed work are readable in a few clicks.
Real autonomy day to day
Publishing a new reference, updating a materials page or adjusting a sector happens in Neos, without technical skill. The team saves time and relies less on a supplier for routine changes.
Site photos that finally work
Completed work is presented in an orderly way. Images no longer weigh the message down: they carry it. That is the strongest argument for a trade of feel and finish.
A modern, fast and lasting foundation
Leaving the old TYPO3 setup delivered a safer site, faster and pleasant on mobile as well as desktop. Neos can take new pages or new photo series without rebuilding everything.
